Western Regional Sales Manager Responsibilities:

Develop, market, and sell all Griffco Valve product lines to all existing and potential accounts within  the assigned territory. Those products include the Griffco line of valves, calibration cylinders, pulsation dampeners, gauge guards, injection devices and corporation stopcock assemblies. 

  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.

  • Manage and coordinate outside sales within defined regional territory.

  • Set up seminars at engineering firms, by working with appropriate distributors, to influence valve specifications and ensure Griffco is specified.

  • Follow up with channel partners to coordinate the specification work, identifying decision makers, and forwarding information to the Griffco inside sales team.

  • Supply a project update list for your region as requested by Management.

  • Submit a travel itinerary two weeks prior to traveling.

  • Submit trip reports in timeframe determined by Management.

  • Perform all related sales tasks as directed by Management.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain aspects of the marketing plan.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly sales reports and submit your findings and analysis to senior management.

  • Analyze market trends.

  • Maintain social media sites.

  • Forecast requirements, prepare an annual budget, develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets.

  • Provide sales support for distributors, OEM’s and system integrators.

  • Assist with coordination of trade shows and attend trade shows as requested.

  • Analyze bid requests and specifications for major contracts/projects.

  • Follow up on quotations. Provide feedback to General Manager.

  • Utilize sales tools provided.

  • Other duties as needed.

Travel Responsibility:

This position requires 50 - 60% travel. Travel is primarily outside the local area and overnight. Travel times are to be made in such a way as to maximize customer contact time while minimizing costs.


  • Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred).

  • 5+ years' experience in the water/wastewater and/or chemical feed equipment business.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Great motivational and communication skills with a strong desire to serve customers.

  • Ability to read and generate reports, ledgers and market analyses

  • Internet, social media, and email proficiency.

  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Power Point.
